My name is Debbie and I own and run Talking Tots in Basingstoke which is a Makaton Friendly organisation. I’m also a Regional Makaton Tutor delivering a range of Makaton courses. I’ve had numerous years working in Childcare and Education but particularly with children who have additional needs.

WHO IS ELFI?

Elfi is my middle name, after my Austrian Grandmother whose full name was Elfriede. I absolutely love elephants and my favourite colour is pink; Elfi was the perfect name to call my pink elephant! You can see my Elfi Mascot in the photo.

WHAT DOES ELFI SAYS MEAN?

I wanted something that would encompass everything I believe and deliver around communication so I created a website. 'Elfi Says' is all about ‘Making Communication accessible to All’ Everyone has the right to communicate but for some, that can be a challenge. My vision is to support and make that communication as accessible as possible. Find out more at www.elfisays.org

I'm so passionate about Makaton and what it achieves. I've seen so many people benefit from it.

Climbing Mount Snowdon will not only be a massive personal challenge for me, it's also an awesome opportunity to promote Makaton and all the fantastic work the Charity does.

Any support will be truly appreciated. Thank you.
